Has video games taken over?

Both Skyla (unborn baby) and I are over the mall and traffic. Even though people are not spending as much money this year, they are still walking around the mall with their big strollers and crying babies. Guess I need to get use to the big strollers and the crying babies part. Being that I am broke I did not need to be in the mall long.

Deven, My boyfriend's son is here.  Now this is an amazing kid. When he came in late at night I was sleeping, the next morning he knock on our door and just wanted to give me a hug since I was sleep when he came in.  I pray that my child has a heart like him.

He is giving me a taste of what kids do now a days. I guess the days of looking at Christmas lights, talking to Santa, visiting people, are over. I remember when I was a kid I loved driving around looking at people's lit up houses, and if someone ever asked me if I wanted to go with them me and my little brother would fight to get out of the house no matter where we were going. Not now a ways. I have to pull him out of the house to go any where and promise that we will not be out long for him to want to go.  The Playstation, Xbox and Wii have taken over.

Do kids even know what Christmas means anymore? It is just me or are kids only worried about what gifts they are getting? Does anyone believe in Santa anymore?

Thanks Mom for making us go to church on Sundays it made a difference.

I love Christmas time. The smell of the trees and the decorations. I can not wait to share this with my little girl. And keep the Christmas magic alive for her. I know her big brother Deven will show her the ropes I just hope not with video games.
