Foods I can not EAT! so many

Avoid the following:
-Swordfish, shark, king mackerel and tile fish. These fish can contain potentially risky levels of mercury. Mercury can be transferred to the growing fetus and cause serious health problems. Also avoid game fish until you check its safety with your local health department. (A game fish is any fish caught for sport, such as trout, salmon or bass.)
-Raw fish, especially shellfish (oysters, clams)
-Undercooked meat, poultry and seafood. Cook all of them thoroughly to kill bacteria.
-Do not eat hot dogs or luncheon meats. Examples are deli meats such as ham, turkey, salami and bologna. If you do eat these foods, reheat them until steaming hot.
-Refrigerated pates or meat spreads. Canned versions are safe.
-Refrigerated smoked seafood unless it has been cooked (as in a casserole). Canned versions are safe.
-Soft-scrambled eggs and all foods made with raw or lightly cooked eggs
-Soft cheeses made with unpasteurized milk. Examples are Brie, feta, Camembert, Roquefort, blue-veined, queso blanco, queso fresco and Panela. Check the label to see what kind of milk was used to make the cheese.
-Unpasteurized milk and any foods made from it
-Unpasteurized juices
-Raw vegetable sprouts, including alfalfa, clover, radish and mung bean
-Herbal supplements and teas

OMG ok my doctor ran through this with me on my first doctor visit but I do not remember hearing about TEAS. OMG I collect different types of teas. I love TEA. I only drink decaf and I thought that I was being good. ahhhhhhhhh So that leaves me with only water and Apple Juice, since milk is starting to upset my stomach, as well as OJ and I never drank soda to begin with. And this list is scary enough to make me only eat rice anyway. Printing this list and keeping it in my purse just in case I have a question before I eat anything.

As soon as the baby is born I will be having a Maryland Style Crab Feast! Jr. get the crabs ready Tarsha, Derrick and I will be home this summer for my post crab feast baby shower. I know not your normal baby shower theme but hey I am not your normal girl.

Has video games taken over?

Both Skyla (unborn baby) and I are over the mall and traffic. Even though people are not spending as much money this year, they are still walking around the mall with their big strollers and crying babies. Guess I need to get use to the big strollers and the crying babies part. Being that I am broke I did not need to be in the mall long.

Deven, My boyfriend's son is here.  Now this is an amazing kid. When he came in late at night I was sleeping, the next morning he knock on our door and just wanted to give me a hug since I was sleep when he came in.  I pray that my child has a heart like him.

He is giving me a taste of what kids do now a days. I guess the days of looking at Christmas lights, talking to Santa, visiting people, are over. I remember when I was a kid I loved driving around looking at people's lit up houses, and if someone ever asked me if I wanted to go with them me and my little brother would fight to get out of the house no matter where we were going. Not now a ways. I have to pull him out of the house to go any where and promise that we will not be out long for him to want to go.  The Playstation, Xbox and Wii have taken over.

Do kids even know what Christmas means anymore? It is just me or are kids only worried about what gifts they are getting? Does anyone believe in Santa anymore?

Thanks Mom for making us go to church on Sundays it made a difference.

I love Christmas time. The smell of the trees and the decorations. I can not wait to share this with my little girl. And keep the Christmas magic alive for her. I know her big brother Deven will show her the ropes I just hope not with video games.

4th Doc Appointment

(this is not my actual exam room pic)

On 12/19/08 was my 4th doctors appointment. It was the normal 30 minutes.

*Weigh In: 120! I weigh a huge 120 pounds. Which is A LOT for me. So it is very hard for me to except this weight gain.

*Then pee in a cup. To test to make sure that I am taking my vitamins and I guess, to make sure that i am not a drug addict

*Wait in the room starring at the wall reading about birth control which is about 15mins. (too late to be reading about that)

*My doctor comes in and asks, "How are you feeling?" my answer. "Fine"

*We listen to the baby's heart beat. She said, "Sounds Good"

*We schedule a visit for 4 weeks from now.

*I pay my co-pay of $30 bucks and $4 dollars for parking.

*I leave.

Wow I am in the wrong business. She saw 3 other girls within the same time. Stay turned for another belly pic. No stretch marks yet! Yesssss!

No more Tampons...Hello Toilet Paper!

Since I am pregnant I figured at least I am going to save money on buying tampons. Well something replaced the tampon. TOILET PAPER. I pee so much. I think my water bill is going to go up because I am in the bathroom so much. And trust me there is no holding it until you get up in the morning, you would straight pee on yourself. However, I am very happy that I found a comfy way to sleep...just took about 8 pillows and pushing Maurice to just a little corner of the bed.

Happy Friday. See you guys on Monday! Big Weekend for me. Birthday Parties, Ugly Sweater Party, Community Service, Getting our xmas tree, American Apparel Shopping with my sis, Target for more TOILET PAPER and a Pot Luck with the Mocha Moms.....wow! Not your average lazy pregnant girl.

My Priest prayed over me and my baby!

Went I went how my mom set up a time so I can go and talk with my priest since I have been so nervous about having this baby. It was the best experience ever. My mom and my priest prayed over me blessing me and the baby. Then he gave me holy water, hold salt and holy oil to rub on my stomach. He also gave me a statue of the pregnant virgin Mary to look at every day to remember I am not alone.

I felt the baby move!

I felt the baby move for the first time on 12/6/08 it was not a big feeling or anything. But hanging around so many pregnant women I was so mad that everyone has felt their baby and I had not felt mine. Even Maurice felt the baby move when I was sleeping. So on saturday after I got out of the shower I was talking to her and asked her to please move and I pushed my stomach a little and she moved. It was like a little flutter but I felt something at least finally.

When it is ok to touch my tummy!

I know every one thinks it is so weird for me to be pregnant and have a belly. Trust me it is even weirder for me. I love when friends want to ask questions and touch my belly however there are some rules everyone needs to follow.

*If I am wearing a white, cream or light colored shirt DON'T put your dirty hands on me. It leaves me with hand prints and dark marks. It is not cute when a pregnant girl looks dirty.

*If you DON'T know me then DON'T touch me. Sorry but it is weird.

*DON'T poke at my stomach, not unless you want me to hit you in the face. She does not like to be poked at.

*DO NOT try to lift up my shirt to see my stomach. That is how I got pregnant in the first place.

*Telling me I'm fat is not a good thing. Im pregnant not fat. Don't know many fat girls that wear a size 1 maternity jeans.

*If you never had a child then don't try to push your views on me. I love advise but there is a difference in giving advice and trying to push your views on me. I am stressed enough.

Ok I know the last two had nothing to do with rubbing my belly but I just had to say it. I felt that this blog topic needed to be talked about because so many of my pregnant friends feel the same way and we don't want to be mean because we love when friends care and touch our bellies but if ya girl got on white don't even think about it.

More baby talk to come!

Thank you for all the love and support I have been receiving.

Recap!

Ok I know I have been M.I.A. But with traveling back from Maryland and shooting things have been crazy. However I will fill ya in on what has been happening.

TRIP HOME
My trip home was amazing. Everyone treated me like I was going to break. My mother woke me up in the morning and asked if I needed to use the bathroom, my little brother would not let me go to the big mall with him because he said it was too big for me to walk and my sister wanted to talk about how sex was....gross. I had a chance to get my hair done, after going through real life scenes of "The Wire" to find the hair, I sat getting my hair done listening to a customer talk about how she was a vegetarian and only eats chicken and turkey...no meat. lol gotta love dumb people. The plane ride back to la was rough me and the baby didnt like that at all.
New Hair!

SHOOTING
Thanks to a friend and a blog reader I am currently working on a reality show. However, that is all I can say about it right now, but trust you will be notified when it starts to air.

2nd LEVEL ULTRASOUND

I went and got a 2nd level ultrasound on Dec 4. The doctor put me on aspirin because he is afraid that I will have high blood pressure after I deliver because of how the baby heart is beating. So weird how the baby can make me have high blood pressure after she come out. Other then that everything is fine.

ME
I am very stressed and I know it is not good for the baby so I have been trying to do things to make me feel good. Think I am going to get a christmas tree soon...I guess. I don't even feel like christmas is close. So much on my mind. My friend is looking at schools for her kids and they are not even walking yet. Private schools are like 20-30,000. WHAT! and you have to be interviewed. ahhhhhhh
